The
filter is equipped with a pump designed to maintain the Hydraulic
Equilibruim within the filter. Flow is continuous,
with an exertion pressure applied throughout the filtration
system's media structure. Compression of the media prevents
contaminant penetration and allows for finer filtration than
other media filters.
The
water enters the filter in a cross flow pattern at high velocity
to continually scour the media surface, keeping the surface
area clean. The combination of pressure and shearing action
of the flow of water allow for longer service runs between
backwashing, and overcomes the head-loss that would be found
in a conventional system.
Diamond
Variable Flow Filtration Systems - designed for
many applications and sized for maximum efficiency. To compensate
for periods when the demand for filtered water is less than
peak, the unused filtrate is returned to the filter inlet
for re-circulation back through the filter. This process compensates
for the flow needed to maintain the balance within the system.
In compensating flows during when water flow is reduced, the
potential of contaminant channeling is averted; a problem
found in conventional media filters when flows fluctuate.
Media is selected to meet the specific water treatment needs
of the application. With the ability to provide low micron
filtration in a wide range of applications, we can solve many
problems, easily and reliably.
Used in waste water treatment for the removal of large volumes
of suspended solids to fine suspended solids, a V Series System
may provide the cost effective answer to your discharge problems.
As with fine heavy metals such as copper, nickel, and zinc,
a 0.5 micron system may suit the needs as a polishing filter
after a clarifier or before a DI, RO, or UF system for heavy
metals removal. Or in a commercial laundry application where
high suspended solids levels can be expected, a 10.0 micron
filter should provide the solution for polishing the effluent
of a DAF or for protecting a carbon system from excessive
solids overloading.
In
a process stream where suspended solids, such as iron, is
a problem for equipment or production, a V Series System may
protect your valuable systems or product from unnecessary
down time due to cleaning and maintenance, or contamination
which reduces quality. Keep you equipment operating and improve
production quality by installing a system that can remove
the problem from solution - by filtering down to 5.0 micron,
2.0 micron, or 0.5 micron.
