DIAMOND VARIABLE FLOW FILTRATION TECHNOLOGY
The principal design characteristic Diamond Variable Flow Filters offer is high quality sub-micron filtration when the flow rate demand is variable or intermittent.
The filter is equipped with a pump designed to maintain the Hydraulic Equilibrium within the filter. Flow is continuous, with an exertion pressure applied throughout the filtration system's media structure. Compression of the media prevents contaminant penetration and allows for finer filtration than with other media filters.
Water enters the filter in a cross flow pattern at high velocity to continually scour the media surface, keeping the surface area clean. The combination of pressure and shearing action of the water allow for longer service runs between backwashing, and overcomes the head-loss that would be found in a conventional system.
To compensate for periods when the demand for filtered water is less than peak, the unused filtrate is returned to the filter inlet for re-circulation back through the filter. In compensating flows during when water flow is reduced, the potential of contaminant channeling is averted; a problem found in conventional media filters when flows fluctuate.
Keep your equipment operating and improve production quality by installing a V Series system that can remove the problem – by filtering down to 5.0 micron, 2.0 micron, or 0.5 micron.
